The best learning experiences leave you with more curiosity than you started with. Qiskit Global Summer School 2026, celebrating “A Decade on the Cloud,” did exactly that—every lab and lecture gave me a new reason to ask, “What’s possible next?”

I’m excited to share that I earned the Quantum Excellence badge!

Every lab challenged my understanding and gave me something new to explore. Working through the problems made the experience incredibly rewarding, and I’m leaving with a deeper appreciation for quantum computing—and plenty of questions I want to pursue.

A highlight: quantum chemistry

The quantum chemistry portion in Lab 4c was a particular highlight. Exploring the connection between quantum computing and chemistry sparked my curiosity about how these methods can help us understand molecular systems. A special thank you to Boseong Kim for creating this portion of the lab!

Beyond the labs, I especially enjoyed the talk with Amira Abbas and the guest lecture by Ignacio Cirac. Both were memorable parts of my QGSS experience and left me eager to learn more.

Thank you to the educators

A heartfelt thank you to IBM, IBM Quantum, Olivia Lanes, and all the mentors whose guidance helped me complete the labs and make the most of this experience.

To every educator and contributor behind the program: thank you for sharing your knowledge and helping us turn challenging concepts into hands-on understanding. I thoroughly enjoyed every lab and learned so much along the way!

I’d love to connect with others learning, researching, or building in quantum computing. What quantum chemistry project would you recommend exploring next?
